Are you currently on maternity or shared parental leave? Or have you taken a longer career break and are looking to get back to work? We would be delighted if you would join us for a free career comeback workshop sponsored by BRE on Friday 19th May at their Watford Campus.

BRE is a world-leading building science centre with a mission to improve the built environment through knowledge and research generation. Operating internationally, with offices, representatives and partners around the globe, the Head Office and major facilities are based in the UK. We are an innovative group of researchers, scientists, engineers and technicians who share a common goal – and we want to do more to attract, retain and develop the careers of returning people who have taken a break.

BRE are particularly keen to hear from people with an interest in the built environment or have a background in marketing, compliance, engineering and the construction industry.

The day will include two sessions, one for people who have had an extended career break and one for those currently on maternity or shared parental leave, with a networking lunch in between.

Are you looking to reignite your career after an extended break?

Join us on Friday 19 May 2017, 9.30am – 1pm for a session that will leave you feeling in charge of your transition back into the work force. The session will cover:

  • The benefits of LinkedIn and using it to network
  • How to be your own recruiter
  • How to impress in an interview
